Five Ways To Show Catholic Courage At Work

Here are some ideas by Randy Hain for your consideration as we try to make visible our Faith to those around us, even to those around us at work.  Click here to check this out.

Trust and Obey

Here are some musings by Fr. Longenecker on the meaning of Faith.  This is a reflection on this Gospel passage from September 17:

“Lord, do not trouble yourself,
for I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof.
Therefore, I did not consider myself worthy to come to you;
but say the word and let my servant be healed.
For I too am a person subject to authority,
with soldiers subject to me.
And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes;
and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes;
and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard this he was amazed at him
and, turning, said to the crowd following him,
“I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”
When the messengers returned to the house,
they found the slave in good health.

The Crisis of a Second Obama Term...Are You Ready?

Here is a post by George Weigel.  He is making the point that the current culture of persecution is, or should be anyway, an opportunity for Catholic Evangelization.  We need to be alert and ready to counter anti-Catholicism when and where ever we find it and to do so energetically and with great charity.  Click on this link to read his comments.

The Stages of Religious Persecution

Here is an important blog by Msgr. Pope describing the 5 stages of religious persecution.  What do you think?  How far down this road are we here in the good old US of A?  Click here to view this.  The video at the end is a tad odd to be sure but is entertaining.
