Barbara and I are working on getting the old Book Blog set up for a summer reading group to go through Bad Religion...How We Became a Nation of Heretics by Ross Douthat. It should be fun and we are going to try to engage the DTS to see if we can get a good Ecumenical group reading this all at once. The plan is to go chapter by chapter and to have a group dinner meeting at the end of each of the 3 sections of the book to meet and talk in person about it. Hopefully we will have some spirited comments on a weekly basis. These will be started by someone in or group who will kick off the discussion for each chapter with a short narrative to spark some comments. Volunteer bloggers are NEEDED, so please respond by email and let us know whether or not you can help. Once we have a group of folks willing to contribute we will divide up the book in short portions for initial comment by the volunteer bloggers. It is not a big deal, and if we have a good number of us then it will make it a very easy project.
